What Partnered Schools Have To Say
"We were absolutely delighted to welcome Sarah into Brackenwood Junior School for a
special art workshop as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Sarah worked with
children across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the sessions were a huge success with all children
immersing themselves in it. Every child achieved a piece that they were proud of which
was so important to us.
From the outset, Sarah's communication was great and she was highly organised which
helped the workshop to run smoothly. She was proactive and thoughtful in her approach,
working closely with us ahead of time to plan the workshop and what the outcomes would look like for each of the year groups. She took great care in developing age-
appropriate ideas for each year group, ensuring the activities were engaging, creative, and accessible for a range of abilities.Sarah also prepared resources in advance, which supported the children wonderfully
during the sessions. Her attention to detail and thoughtful planning meant that the
workshops ran smoothly and were enjoyable for all involved. For Years 5 and 6, the artwork was inspired by the book 'The Last Bear' which our Year 5
and 6 pupils had previously read, and the resulting pieces are absolutely stunning. The
children's creations have been used to create a beautiful display in school, which has
received so many positive comments from staff, children and visitors alike.
Sarah’s passion for art and her calm, encouraging manner really inspired the children. We
are very much looking forward to working with her again and would highly recommend
her workshops to other schools."
